Aluminum Alloy 1085 (1.3mm × 1300mm) for Industrial Containers and Heat Sinks

Product Description:

The Aluminum Alloy 1085, with a thickness of 1.3mm and a width of 1300mm, is a high-purity aluminum alloy (99.85% minimum aluminum, with trace amounts of silicon, iron, copper, manganese, magnesium, and zinc) in O-temper or H18 temper, designed for industrial containers and heat sinks. It offers exceptional thermal conductivity (~229 W/m·K), excellent corrosion resistance, and good formability (elongation ~20-30% in O-temper), with low strength (tensile strength ~60-100 MPa). Its high purity ensures minimal impurities, making it ideal for applications requiring high reflectivity and heat transfer efficiency. The lightweight nature (density ~2.70 g/cm³) reduces structural loads, while its recyclability (recovery rate >95%) supports sustainable manufacturing. The 1300mm width enables efficient production for large-scale components like container panels and finned heat sinks.

Advantages

Core Benefits:

Advantage Detailed description

High Thermal Conductivity

~229 W/m·K ensures efficient heat dissipation in heat sinks, reducing component temperatures and improving performance.

High Reflectivity

Up to 86% reflectivity enhances thermal management in heat sinks and aesthetic appeal in containers.

Corrosion Resistance

High purity ensures resistance to moisture, chemicals, and pollutants, ideal for industrial containers in harsh environments.

High Formability

Elongation (~20-30% in O-temper) allows for shaping into complex container designs and finned heat sinks without cracking.

Cost-Effectiveness

Lower material costs and easier processing make it affordable for high-volume industrial production.

Lightweight Design

Density of 2.70 g/cm³ provides up to 65% weight savings compared to steel (7.8 g/cm³), lowering transport and structural costs for containers.
